Monkey King Full Bronze Pendant

Description

Design drawing: Based on the characteristics of the image of the Monkey King, combined with modern aesthetics, the designer draws the design of the pendant, determines its shape, size, details of the performance, such as clarifying the bending angle of the golden rod, the focus of the portrayal of the facial expression, and so on.
Making wax molds: Generally, the lost wax method is adopted, in which the paraffin wax is first heated and melted, injected into the molds made according to the design drawings, and then taken out after it has cooled down and solidified, so as to obtain wax molds that are consistent with the design. After that, the wax model is carefully carved by hand to further improve the details of the Monkey King’s hair and clothing folds.
Preparation for casting: The wax molds are assembled into a wax tree (connecting several wax molds to one casting system), then a refractory paste (e.g. quartz sand) is repeatedly applied to the surface of the wax tree, and each layer is dried and hardened to form a shell of a certain thickness. Then the shell is heated, so that the wax mold melting out, to get the hollow casting.
Bronze casting: the bronze raw materials in the furnace heated to about 1000 ℃ melting, to achieve the appropriate fluidity, poured into the casting. After the bronze liquid is cooled and solidified in the shell, the Monkey King Pendant is formed into a blank.
Post-processing: Crack the shell to take out the blank and cut off the excess parts such as the sprue. Through sanding and polishing process, from coarse sandpaper to fine sandpaper gradually sanding, so that the pendant surface is smooth, highlighting the shape. Surface treatment can also be carried out, such as old treatment to create a rustic atmosphere, or gold plating, silver plating and other treatments to increase the luster and uniqueness.
